En lugar de depender exclusivamente de la miner\u00eda tradicional, que tiene impactos ambientales y sociales significativos, esta pr\u00e1ctica se enfoca en extraer recursos de los residuos tecnol\u00f3gicos que acumulamos en las ciudades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"ember54\">Seg\u00fan la <strong>ONU<\/strong>, solo el 17% de los desechos electr\u00f3nicos a nivel mundial se reciclan de manera adecuada, dejando una cantidad enorme de materiales valiosos sin aprovechar. Por ejemplo, una tonelada de tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes usados puede contener hasta 300 gramos de oro, 1 kilo de plata y 40 kilos de cobre, sin mencionar otros elementos estrat\u00e9gicos como el litio y el cobalto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ember55\">El v\u00ednculo entre la miner\u00eda urbana y la electromovilidad<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"ember56\">La demanda de <strong>veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos <\/strong>est\u00e1 creciendo exponencialmente. Seg\u00fan BloombergNEF, se espera que los EVs representen el 50% de las ventas globales de autos nuevos para 2030. Este auge genera una presi\u00f3n sobre las <strong>cadenas de suministro<\/strong> de materiales cr\u00edticos, cuya extracci\u00f3n tradicional enfrenta problemas como agotamiento de reservas, conflictos sociales en las regiones mineras y un alto <strong>impacto ambiental<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"ember57\">La miner\u00eda urbana ofrece una alternativa sostenible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"ember58\"><strong>Reducci\u00f3n de la dependencia minera:<\/strong> Al recuperar metales de dispositivos desechados, se puede reducir la necesidad de nuevas exploraciones mineras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"ember59\"><strong>Disminuci\u00f3n de la huella ambiental:<\/strong> Este enfoque evita el impacto ecol\u00f3gico asociado a la miner\u00eda tradicional, como la deforestaci\u00f3n y la contaminaci\u00f3n del agua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"ember60\"><strong>Promoci\u00f3n de la econom\u00eda circular:<\/strong> La miner\u00eda urbana fomenta un modelo donde los recursos se reutilizan y permanecen en el ciclo productivo durante m\u00e1s tiempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ember61\">Casos de \u00e9xito en la miner\u00eda urbana<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"ember62\"><strong>Jap\u00f3n:<\/strong> Recuper\u00f3 metales preciosos de dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos para fabricar las medallas de los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Tokio 2020.
